Call for Session Proposals

The 2022 Joint Aquatic Sciences Meeting (JASM 2022), co-sponsored by AFS and the eight other partner societies in the Consortium of Aquatic Science Societies, will be held in Grand Rapids, Michigan, May 14-20, 2022. The conference theme is “Rapid Changes 〜 Collaborative Solutions.”

The Program Committee for JASM 2022 is now soliciting proposals for sessions including symposia, integrative events, and workshops/professional development events. More information about the sessions and instructions on how to submit a proposal can be found at this link: https://jasm2022.aquaticsocieties.org/call-for-proposals-symposia-integrative-events-and-workshops/

JASM2022 will employ a hybrid meeting model to create an exciting in-person event but also provide for submission and access to content for those unable to travel to Grand Rapids.
  • Live-Streamed from Grand Rapids – Plenary sessions and selected other events will be live streamed as well as recorded and available online.
  • In-person Symposium and Contributed sessions – All oral and poster presentations delivered in Grand Rapids will be pre-recorded and available online to all attendees.
  • Virtual Symposium and Contributed sessions – Submissions of papers and posters by those unable to travel will be included as pre-recorded content and attached to appropriate symposium and contributed sessions.
We will not be able to accommodate live, remote presentations during the conference.

Proposal collaborations among societies are encouraged. Session proposals must be submitted by 11:59 PM EDT September 24, 2021. Please direct any questions related to proposal preparation, session ideas, technical requests or other issues to Tricia Fry, Program Committee Coordinator, at [email protected].

Please note that the JASM meeting is in addition to our regular AFS Annual Meeting, which will be held August 21-25, 2022 in Spokane, Washington.
