AFS seeks a scientist with a broad perspective on fisheries to serve as editor of North American Journal of Fisheries Management (NAJFM). Editor must be committed to fast- paced deadlines, and would be appointed for a three-year renewable term.
Duties include:
- Using the advice of associate editors and reviewers to make publication decisions on submissions. Reviewing papers for scientific accuracy as well as for clarity, readability, and interest to the broad fisheries community. Clearly and professionally communicating decisions to authors.
- Soliciting manuscripts to ensure broad coverage.
- Making recommendations to enhance the vitality and prestige of the journal.
