Serve as full-time crew leader for field projects involving state sensitive and endangered fishes in the upper Colorado River Basin. Duties include monitoring native fishes and nonnative removal using a variety of electrofishing techniques (boat, barge and raft), PIT-technology and netting techniques, data entry/management, maintenance and preparation of field equipment, and report preparation. Desired start data ASAP.
Bachelor’s degree in fisheries biology or closely related field. Preference may be given to applicants with extensive electrofishing experience, boating/rafting experience, fisheries research experience, data management skills, and demonstrated leadership skills. Strenuous physical activity, long hours, rafting and overnight camping in remote locations is essential.
