Provide GIS assistance on a research project investigating the impacts of conservation practices in the western Lake Erie Basin on stream fish and invertebrate assemblages. Primary duties will include geospatial data processing and management, with the potential to help develop peer-reviewed manuscripts. Opportunities to interact with state (e.g., Ohio Division of Wildlife) and non-governmental (e.g., The Nature Conservancy) partners would exist.
A bachelor’s degree in ecology, environmental science, aquatic science, geography, or a related field, and expertise in geospatial data management and analysis is required. Familiarity with relevant data sources, water quality modeling, ESRI GIS software, and stream conservation issues is highly desired.
