A bachelors degree in biology, aquaculture, fisheries biology, or related field, three (3) years of experience in fish culture (not tropical fish) are required along with experience working with yellow perch broodstock and spawning procedures including fertilization, egg processing, and incubation setup; culturing yellow perch from egg to adult; water quality monitoring in RAS, natural aquaponics, and hybrid aquaponics systems; aquaculture effluent management as a function of urban aquaculture; technical and hands-on experience in plant husbandry; and knowledge and skills in food production and presentation for first-feeding of yellow perch sac-fry.
