The student thesis will evaluate the performance of water circulators as it relates to the production efficiency of channel and hybrid catfish in SPS. A mixture of laboratory and field responsibilities will serve students with an interest to apply basic biology and engineering principles in an applied aquaculture setting.
B.S. in aquaculture,fisheries biology or related field, minimum GPA of 3.0, and GRE score of 1,000+ (verbal + quantitative) for GRE exams prior to Nov. 1, 2011 and GRE of 290+ (verbal + quantitative) for GRE exams after Nov. 1, 2011 are required for regular admission. Applicants with scores below the regular admission and substantial experience are also encouraged. Minimum TOEFL score of 550 for international students. Strong writing skills and computer proficiency are required.
