Cardno ENTRIX is seeking an Aquatic Ecologist, Environmental Scientist / Engineer or Fish Biologist with river or estuary salmonid background and good quantitative skills to work on a variety of projects in California and the western United States. In this role, you will lead field surveys to support various aquatic studies: fish surveys, water temperature monitoring, flow/velocity measurements, general water quality monitoring; provide technical data analyses for aquatic reports, including hydrology analyses; conduct habitat and temperature modeling; prepare technical reports; and present to clients and stakeholders.
Masters or PhD degree in aquatic ecology or environmental science / engineering or fisheries or related science. Six to ten years of relevant experience. Strong quantitative skills. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel. Physical experience/ability to collect field data (e.g., fisheries, water quality, hydraulics/hydrology). Ability to travel to field sites and other Cardno ENTRIX office locations.
