A two-year federally-funded post-doctoral research position to conduct a large-scale invasive species intervention in the Great Lakes and to study the effects of risk information on decision-making by the sea lamprey during the reproductive migration. The research associate will be responsible for project coordination and leadership within a public-private partnership, including management of technicians and the production of peer-reviewed publications.

Start date is targeted for December 2012.

The position requires a Ph.D. degree with experience desirable in fish behavior, telemetry-based movement studies in aquatic ecosystems, and invasive species management. A record of publication and evidence of being able to work both independently and cooperatively. This is a high-visibility project; leadership skills are a must.
