Support is available for a PhD position in the laboratory of Daniel Ruzzante at Dalhousie University (Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada) for research in landscape and conservation genomics of fish in Labrador.
The ideal candidate will have an MSc, molecular laboratory experience, and a background in population genetics. The project will involve fieldwork in Labrador and depending on the candidate’s strengths and interest in statistics, it may also involve a modeling component in collaboration with Professor Oscar Gaggiotti (Univ of St Andrews, Scotland). The position is expected to start in the 2014/2015 academic year but later starts will also be considered.
