Job: PhD Assistantship

The goal of this project is to use eDNA to verify the presence of cavefish and cave crayfish populations of the Ozark Highlands ecoregion while developing the foundation for monitoring methods that may be used in the future to document species abundance. The project will support recovery and monitoring efforts of state and federal agencies and inform conservation decisions. The student associated with the project will be encouraged to develop additional objectives that complement the central theme of the assistantship.
