Ph.D. Research Assistantship – Management Strategy Evaluation of Data Limited Stocks in the Gulf of Mexico
The selected student will develop a Management Strategy Evaluation to test a range of management actions on fish and fisheries in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico. Working closely with scientists from the Florida Marine Research Institute and the National Marine Fisheries Service, the student will focus on data-limited, multi-stock, reef fish fisheries. This project has the potential to greatly impact how fisheries are managed in the southeastern U.S.
Applicants must have completed a Masters degree or be on track to finish a Masters degree by December of 2013. The Assistantship is set to begin in January of 2014.
