| Responsibilities | At least one assistantship available to conduct research related to fish population dynamics, stock assessment, harvest policy analysis, and management strategy evaluation with emphasis on Great Lake fisheries. Possible areas of focus include determining appropriate level of data aggregation in stock assessment models, comparisons among assessment models of varying complexities, and approaches for assessment and management of migratory fish stocks. Highly qualified individuals will be considered for the Ricker Distinguished Fellowship. |
| Qualifications | M.S. in fisheries or related quantitative science. Aptitude in modeling of population dynamics and application of statistics to natural resources. Strongest applicants will have high GPA/GRE, record of peer-reviewed publications, and experience in quantitative fisheries applications. |
