Ph.D. Assistantship in Quantitative Fisheries
Student will investigate population dynamics of oysters and develop models to forecast management outcomes for restoration efforts in Chesapeake Bay. This NSF-sponsored project also involves working with stakeholders and an interdisciplinary team to forecast the likely effectiveness of oyster restoration and management options. B.S. (M.S. preferred) in fisheries or related field; Desired qualifications include background in quantitative fish ecology, experience with stock assessment or population simulation models, good communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong work ethic.
