The position’s objective is to ensure the management of hatchery fish and infrastructure resources in a Regional capacity towards meeting the goals of the Division and Agency. The Operations and Hatchery Reform Manager supervises and directs all aspects of fish production within the Complex(s) for the purpose of achieving conservation and fishery enhancement/management objectives. This responsibility includes the management of a number of fish hatcheries.


The preferred candidate will poses competencies in the following areas: A Degree in fish biology, fish culture or other applicable program or 5 years of experience at an advanced senior level in: Fish Culture practices; Fish health diagnosis, treatment and management practices; Salmonid culture practices; and Department policies and procedures.
Including a minimum of 2 years experience in the following: Supervision and working with diverse budgets and management; Knowledge and use of federal, state and tribal regulations; Maintaining working relationships with other agencies; and Proficiency with computers and software.
