The Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences Program at Princeton is seeking applicants for a postdoctoral position in modeling climate impacts on fisheries. The position is part of a multi-institutional effort, the Nereus Program, established to improve multi-decadal predictions of global fisheries. Areas of interest for this position include: improving biogeochemical climate-change projections, expanding these projections to improve their utility for fisheries impact assessments, and developing more mechanistic representations of climate-fisheries interactions.
Candidates must possess a Ph.D. within three years of the starting date, in biological oceanography, fisheries science, earth sciences, applied math, or the physical, biological, or chemical sciences. An ability to work across disciplines is a must, as are strong modeling, quantitative, and statistical skills.
