This position will support a broad range of quantitative evaluations of aquatic species and communities including population assessments, risk analyses, modeling effects of anthropogenic and environmental impacts, and conducting other analyses to support client needs. The successful candidate will help implement projects throughout the Columbia River Basin and other parts of the country. Frequent travel and/or work outdoors may be required.
The successful candidate will have a strong quantitative skillset in a natural resource discipline and the ability to frame and analyze problems to provide answers or solutions. Applicants should characterize their quantitative expertise by describing the type and complexity of analyses performed, type of software used, and the effective application of results to address an issue or problem. Successful candidates will also possess expertise in one or more of the following categories: writing, field work, and fisheries
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in an environmental science, biology, statistics, or a related field – master’s degree is preferred. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience, but applicable educational experience may substitute for some of the professional experience.
