The QFC is looking to recruit graduate students at the MS/PhD level starting summer/fall 2014 to contribute to quantitative fisheries projects involving stock assessment methods, harvest policy analysis, and/or ecological data analysis. We are looking for students with a strong interest in building their quantitative skills. Specific research project would most likely be focused on Great Lakes fisheries, including Lake Erie percids, Lakes Michigan and Huron lake whitefish, or Lake Superior cisco. B.S/M.S. in fisheries or related quantitative science. Aptitude/interest in modeling of population dynamics and application of statistics to natural resources.
