We recently received state and Federal funding to expand its large-river fish ecology program. We seek applications from potential candidates experienced in river ecology, fish biology, or fishery management with a desire to pursue a MS degree under the supervision of Drs. Yong Cao and John Epifanio. The student will 1) collect samples of fish and measure multiple water-quality variables in several non-wadeable rivers in Illinois, 2) model fish assemblage-environment relationships, 3) assist in writing project reports.
GPA > 3.25 and GRE > 70%, capable of demanding field work, and exceptional writing and analytical skills. Previous field-work experience in large rivers and boat electrofishing is desirable.
Send cover letter, resume, unofficial transcript, and the contact information of three references to Dr. Yong Cao at below email.
