Responsibilities: Student will conduct laboratory-based research on thiamine deficiency in lake trout, focused on early-feeding fry. Project involves rearing lake trout eggs and fry, and analyzing thiamine content of fry supplied with different sources of thiamine.

Starting date ideally no later than May 31, 2014.


Undergraduate degree in fisheries, natural resources, biology, or closely-related field. Ideal candidate will have an interest in nutritional biochemistry, experience in laboratory work, experimental design, and statistical analysis, good writing skills, and demonstrated attention to detail.
