MS Assistantship – Quantitative Fisheries Assessment
The successful applicant will participate in a research project to collect and utilize a combination of life-history, fishery-independent and fishery-dependent data for analysis of Mississippi’s fished stocks. The multidisciplinary project will perform quantitative assessments of the marine resources of Mississippi to help ensure their sustainability and long-term conservation.
Applicants should have a B.S. in fisheries, ecology, biology, zoology or closely related field which and interest and desire to learn and pursue a course of study in quantitative ecological and fishery applications. Please highlight your statistics, modeling, and computational background and experience. Minimum academic qualifications include GRE scores in the upper 50th percentile in each category and 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 system).
