Successful candidate will determine if differences occur in the protein coding regions of the DNA from yellow perch populations in South Dakota and relate the genetic structure to observed growth and mortality rates of yellow perch. Field sampling will be completed in South Dakota and genetic analysis will be completed at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
Project begins July 1, 2014 and continues through June 30, 2017. Ideally the student will begin during the 2014 fall semester.
B.S. degree in fisheries, biology or related field.
