Conduct laboratory research on microchemical analysis of scales and fin rays as a nonlethal alternative to otoliths for measuring movement and stock contribution in native salmonids. Study is part of a large-scale restoration program for westslope cutthroat trout in northwest Montana by Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks


BS in fisheries or related field and 3.0 GPA and 300 combined Verbal and Quantitative GRE. Interest and experience with chemical analysis, laboratory experiments, scale and otolith analysis, and fish culture desirable.
