Responsibilities

NM State Univ, NM Cooperative Fish & Wildlife Rsch Unit
Develop and validate molecular screening tool to positively identify Asian fish tapeworm in imperiled native fish populations from the Colorado and Little Colorado rivers, Grand Canyon.

Qualifications

B.S. in Ecology, Fisheries Sciences, Biology or closely related field. Experience in molecular techniques is preferred but not necessary. Applicants must have strong work ethic, good verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as a reliable member of a research team. Excellent interpersonal skills will be required to work closely with federal agencies in both laboratory and field settings. Students must have a minimum of 3.0 GPA, and GRE scores 153 Verbal and 148 for Quantitative Reasoning.
