Iowa State Univ, Dept of Natural Resource Ecology and Management
Responsibilities: Conduct research focused on evaluating landscape, waterbody, and population level factors affecting fish mercury concentrations in lakes, reservoirs, and rivers across Iowa. Student is responsible for data collection, analyses, presentations, and publications.

Application review begins April 10, 2014. Final project approval is April 21 and tentative start date is June 2014.


BS in fisheries ecology or management, environmental toxicology, or related field. Coursework and fieldwork experience in fisheries is highly desirable. Candidates with demonstrated written and oral communication, analytical skills, and strong academic and research credentials are preferred. Applicant must be highly motivated, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and be physically capable and willing to work long hours in demanding outdoor conditions.
