|Salary||The School of Biology and Ecology provides minimum of 2 (MS) to 4 (PhD) years of academic year support (stipend, tuition, half of health insurance) via research or teaching assistantships. Additional summer support available from advisor.|
Develop and apply eDNA detection tools for invasive or imperiled aquatic species in Maine and the North East region. Graduate research may further integrate related themes such as fish conservation, population genetics and biogeography.
Available for Fall 2013 or Spring 2014 semester. Bachelors or masters degree in biology or related field. Admission to appropriate UMaine graduate program (based on GPA, standardized test scores, letters etc). Priority may be given for demonstrated skills in writing, data analyses, laboratory techniques (especially DNA) and field experience.
