| Responsibilities | Assist in daily research activities related to Lake Michigan fisheries. Duties will include field sampling (gill net, trawl, plankton, etc.), creel surveys (interview anglers, identify fish), maintenance of field gear, laboratory facilities and research vessels. Participate in laboratory tasks including identification of zooplankton and benthic invertebrates, fish dissection and diet analysis. Position involves working weekdays and weekends. *Permanent: 1 – 2 years |
| Qualifications | BS in fisheries or closely related field. Good interpersonal skills are essential. Candidate must have valid driver’s license. Must be willing to work in adverse weather conditions. Swimming a must. SCUBA certification desired. |
