| Responsibilities | This position will lead the Division of Commercial Fisheries’ research and stock assessment programs to support Pacific herring fisheries management. Duties include statewide herring research efforts, as well as participation in and oversight of research sponsored by the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Trustee Council (EVOSTC). |
| Qualifications | Ph.D and three years of experience conducting fisheries research at the lead or supervisory level equivalent to a Fishery Biologist III, Biometrician II, Fish Pathologist II or Fisheries Geneticist II with the State of Alaska. A Masters degree with 5 years experience will also be considered. |
