The successful candidate will participate in a multi-agency study of entrainment of endangered pallid sturgeon at water diversion structures in the lower Mississippi River. The candidate will lead field crews in capture, tagging, and telemetry of pallid sturgeon and management and analysis of fishery data.
Successful candidates must be energetic and responsible indiividuals with experience operating and maintaining outboard powered boats and working in large navigable waters and have leadership and organization skills to lead a multi-agency work group of fisheries biologists and graduate research assistants. Preference will be given to candidates with strong multivariate statistical skills. Applicants should possess, at a minimum, a B.S. in fisheries.
