| Responsibilities | Kitoi Bay Hatchery, Kodiak, Alaska. Remote 25 miles north, accessible by float plane or boat only. This position works under the direct supervision of the Hatchery Manager or Assistant Manager. Responsible for overseeing, assisting and participating in all aspects of hatchery operations. This is a blue collar hands-on position requiring significant field work. Assists with incubation, outmigration, rearing, eggtake, juvenile transfers, lake rearing and smolt work, lake limnology, adult sampling and salmon scale collection. Must possess strong supervisory skills. Position closes- ASAP and no later than March 1, 2013 |
| Qualifications | Associates degree in aquaculture, fisheries or related, with minimum 1 year experience at a Pacific salmon hatchery or aquaculture facility. Experience may be substituted for education. Work history should show related prior experience with increasing levels of responsibility, with favorable employer evaluations regarding experience, skills, aptitude and attitude. |
