Teach two undergraduate courses annually, with primary courses in Fisheries Management and Fisheries Science (generally taught in alternate years), and a course in the candidate’s area of expertise (e.g., population dynamics). Develop a rigorous, extramurally-funded research program involving fisheries population ecology complementary to the Department’s faculty. Research opportunities are expected to be available in freshwater and coastal fishery systems. Demonstrate an ability to communicate with a diversity of cultures and stakeholder groups. Support the land-grant mission of Mississippi State University. Work collaboratively with faculty within the College of Forest Resources at Mississippi State University and elsewhere.
