Tutka Bay Lagoon Hatchery (near Homer, AK)
Assist the Hatchery Manager with the rearing and stocking of pink salmon at a remote hatchery located at Tutka Bay. Duties include sorting of broodstock, collection of gametes, incubation and short-term rearing in net pens. Also responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the facility. Supervision of up to 8 full-time/seasonal employees required. Maintenance of hatchery production data.
Three years experience at fish culturist level or more, with 2 years working experience with pink salmon. Must demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills. Must be skilled at working with boats and comfortable working in a remote location.
