Support terrestrial habitat science needs of the coastal tribes. Focus on current and predicted habitat issues affecting coastal resources. Conduct field work and participate in forums to observe, analyze and report on habitat issues. Implement programs, conduct field work, collect existing data, analyze and create reports to track habitat status and trends.
Advanced degree in Natural Sciences or related biological science and five years pertinent experience, or Bachelors with course work in river ecology as well as fish and invertebrate biology and six years of experience. Must have background in ESRI GIS spatial analysis and mapping. Possess communication skills for creating concise reports, summarizing complex information in both technical and non-technical manner, able to maintain open communications with coastal tribes on regular basis.
