The Executive Director serves as the lead point person and administrative manager for USRT and its non-profit Foundation, which serves as the administrative/fiscal arm of USRT. The Executive Director is responsible for carrying out the policy directives of the member tribes and reports to the Chairperson of the USRT Commission, with assurance to program quality and accountability to advance the long term goals for member tribes and the USRT Foundation. This position will be the principal liaison between tribes and a wide variety of stakeholders and sovereigns through regular face-to-face meetings, phone conferences, periodic regional meetings, and written communication. The Executive Director will support tribal unity and consensus decision making through coordination and facilitation of issues with member tribes. This Position will develop and build relationships and partnerships with other tribes; local, regional, and national administrators; tribal organizations; individuals from non-governmental organizations; private individuals; and international partners.
